JOYRIDE WITH JON- Auction
Please help us raise money for a great cause! Donka Inc. is a unique computer training program that teaches individuals with physical or visual challenges in the Chicago area. Through computers and assistive technology, their clients become more self-sufficient and independent members of the community. All of their training is at no-cost to the students. Many Donka Inc. clients are reaching goals they never thought possible. Donka Inc. supports the computer lab at the DuPage Convalescent Center where Jon resides. Jon Wren is a member of the Wheaton North HS Class of 1988 and lost much of his physical abilities in a debilitating car accident in ‘88. Help us help our old friend.
Saturday, August 22, 2009 a fundraiser is being held for Jon. Jon will be riding in a sidecar alongside one of the lead bikes for a tour through DuPage and Kane County. The ride will end at the VFW in Wheaton for a day of fun. Bring the whole family! There will be a dunk tank, moon jump, games, food, music and silent auction. So let’s show him a good time!
AUCTION
We are now accepting items for the silent auction for the benefit. Anything is appreciated and will help many people. Items can be donated to Tanja Waltrip, Waltript@aol.com, 630-853-3701. Any monetary items can be sent directly to Kim Snively Smith, Donka, Inc., 400 N County Farm Rd, Wheaton, IL 60187, checks being made out directly to Donka Inc. and please include 'Joyride with Jon' on the memo line.
